| Competing with Imelda Marcos 
So I have come to terms with it. And yes, those of my friends who say I shop too much, I'm coming to admit I shop for SHOES too much. Take this date down, I...am admitting...I have a shoe fetish.
So why am I all of a sudden admitting this? Because I now have 5 new pairs of shoes in a matter of less than a week. Yes, men do not always understand the importance of having shoes in every different color, shape and style to match every outfit. But I UNDERSTAND that need!!! So this past week I had to buy a new pair of flip flops because my other ones broke while I was at the grocery store. (not a good place for shoes to break let me tell YOU!) So I ended up going out with my friend Mike, and making the poor guy go all through DSW so I could find the "perfect" flip flops. I found some- velvet black flip flops. NOW...that should have been ENOUGH? Right?! But NOOOO my cravings said MORE!!! MORE!!!...
This weekend I came home, my mother (who is another fellow shoe fetishist) bought me a pair of red sandals...they were cute :) I thanked her for them and put them away. AND THEN I went shopping...(not a good idea). And I ended up buying two more pair of thong sandals -suede leather (buy one get one free deals KILL me)....and then a pair of black sexy lace up sandals ....(on sale!! I couldn't resist). So I think by the time I'm 25-26 I may have just as many shoes as Imelda Marcos. You know...maybe I'm part filipino and I just don't know it  ....ah well. As I say, you can never have TOO many shoes :) | | |
| Dentists- the next torture chamber for the government
So, I had to go get my 6 month check up today at the dentists, and you know I've been going to the same dentist since I was 2. Well, today they gave me someone new to clean my teeth, and I take VERY good care of my teeth.
I swear, I am glad today was my last day there because if I got this woman ever again, I would run outta the waiting room SCREAMING. No wonder kids hate the dentist's office! She is probably the next person the government could use to torture people because what she did to my gums made me almost cry (and I can withstand pain like a fool).
She was digging into my gums, trying to "clean" my teeth...I have never in my life, had a hygenist do that to me. I had to grip onto the seat handles to keep myself from biting her fingers HARD. Then she says, "wow, you're bleeding an awful lot"...I sat there thinking NO SHIT! Could it be because you're DIGGING into my gums??
Needless to say, I was in pain when I tried to eat tacos for lunch today with tons of hot sauce (apparently, bloody gums don't do too well with searing hot sauce). BUT...my teeth are EXTRA clean, and I have no cavities. | | |
| My New Love Affair
So I joined a new gym as of last night...and I think I'm in love (yeah I know I'm sad, I am falling in love with a freaking gym). But it's open 24/7 and it's beautiful! Plus I love my membership guy...he's funny and sweet, so I think that made it all worth my while.
